Where to begin...I believe that Eker's idea of wealth and our wealth being engraved in a blueprint of our mind is rather ignorant. When he describes the difference between rich and poor minds I think he misses a very critical part of the history and reasons for rich and poor. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of imperialism and the "gap" between rich and poor but it's not a matter of merely our difference in mindset. As humans we ALL share 99.4% of the same genes, meaning for the most part we are the same. Our mindset is a product of our socialization when growing up...if you have no access to education, health care, food or potable water, not to mention having any concept of the modern economic forces that create our globalized world then HOW, I ask, could your blueprint possibly be a "rich" one???? Poor people have been suppressed by the ever-increasing upper-class and imperial nations. This mind of a millionaire is further increasing the suppression of the poor and increasing the gap between the rich and poor. Look at the majority of the worlds population...they don't have access to nutrient-rich food or potable water...ever as WHY? Then the minority, as far as population goes, have so much...WHY? WHY do we need 3 cars? WHY do you need a massive house? WHY do you need anything more than family, a roof over your head, food, educations, and freedom. WHY? The UN knows that 1/4 of the money tied up in economic transactions each day could feed and give water to those that DON'T HAVE ACCESS, not because they don't have a millionaire mind, but because they don't have OPPORTUNITY. SO...I ASK YOU...WHY DO YOU NEED A MILLION DOLLARS? To satisfy superficial and materialistic WANTS. Distinguish between wants and needs before you answer that question. |
